Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor died and three other people were wounded.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
