Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since March of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children together, so to get a championship is particularly special," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to create a third set.
He saved four early break points in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
